My Personal Philosophy of Digital Learning
I believe technology is important for students because we live in a world that is always changing and growing. New tools, apps, and devices are part of everyday life now, and students need to learn how to use them if they are going to be ready for the future. I think it’s important for students to be comfortable with digital tools, to know how to find information, and to be creative and smart when using technology. Learning with technology can make lessons more interesting, help students work at their own pace, and open up new opportunities that didn’t exist before. It allows students to take virtual field trips, create projects, and even connect with people around the world. Technology is part of the real world, so it should also be part of the classroom.
At the same time, I believe that too much technology can be a bad thing. Sometimes we rely on it too much, and we forget how to solve problems without it. I think it’s important to teach students how to use technology wisely, not just how to click buttons. If the internet went out, many people would panic, and that shows we have to be careful not to depend on it for everything. In my classroom, I will use digital learning as a tool, not a crutch. We will use technology for research, practice, creating projects, and communication. But we will also spend time doing hands-on activities, writing on paper, talking face-to-face, and solving problems without always needing a device. I will teach my students that technology is a tool to help them, not something that controls them. By keeping a good balance, I hope to prepare my students for a world where they can use technology when they need it but can also think, solve problems, and create without always depending on a screen.
